Position Overview
A Warehouse Supervisor oversees the day-to-day operations of a warehouse or cold storage facility, ensuring smooth, accurate, and timely handling of inventory. The role is critical in managing the loading, unloading, storage, and dispatch of goods, maintaining operational efficiency, and meeting customer requirements.
The supervisor acts as a key link between warehouse staff, logistics teams, and management, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and operational standards. The role often involves rotational shifts, night duties, and hands-on supervision.
Key Responsibilities
1. Supervision of Warehouse Operations

Oversee daily warehouse activities, including receiving, storage, and dispatch of goods.

Supervise warehouse staff to ensure tasks are performed efficiently and safely.

Ensure proper inventory management, including recording stock movement and updating systems.
2. Loading & Unloading Management

Supervise loading and unloading operations for warehouse and cold storage shipments.

Ensure goods are handled with care to prevent damage or loss.

Coordinate with transport teams and drivers for smooth operations.
3. Order Execution & Customer Satisfaction

Ensure timely and accurate picking, packing, and dispatch of customer orders.

Monitor order fulfillment KPIs such as delivery timelines, stock accuracy, and order completeness.

Address operational issues or delays promptly to maintain service quality.
4. Inventory Management

Maintain accurate stock records, conduct regular inventory checks, and report discrepancies.

Monitor stock rotation and shelf-life of perishable items in cold storage.

Ensure proper labeling, storage conditions, and handling of all products.
5. Team Management & Training

Assign tasks, monitor performance, and provide guidance to warehouse staff.

Train staff on proper handling procedures, safety measures, and operational standards.

Motivate and maintain discipline among warehouse personnel.
6. Safety & Compliance

Ensure adherence to warehouse safety standards, fire safety norms, and cold storage handling protocols.

Conduct regular safety inspections and maintain a safe working environment.

Report accidents, incidents, or near-misses to management promptly.
7. Reporting & Documentation

Maintain records of inbound/outbound shipments, inventory, and operational reports.

Provide daily, weekly, or monthly reports to management regarding warehouse performance.

Ensure compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs) and quality standards.
