Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
1. Site Supervision and Coordination:

Assist in day-to-day supervision of construction activities at the site.

Monitor the progress of work as per the project plan and report deviations.

Coordinate with contractors, laborers, vendors, and site workers to ensure smooth workflow.

Ensure implementation of work as per drawings and technical specifications.
2. Planning and Scheduling Support:
-
Support the senior engineer in preparing construction schedules and work plans.
-
Assist in managing timelines and tracking task completion against milestones.
-
Coordinate material deliveries and workforce availability to avoid delays.
3. Quantity Estimation and Measurement:
-
Assist in calculating quantities of materials (cement, steel, bricks, aggregates, etc.) required for various phases of construction.
-
Take measurements of completed work for billing and verification purposes.
-
Prepare bar bending schedules (BBS) and material consumption reports under guidance.
4. Drawing and Design Understanding:
-
Interpret and study architectural, structural, and service drawings provided by consultants.

Assist in drafting layout plans, working drawings, or 2D AutoCAD revisions under supervision.

Verify alignment, levels, and plumb lines based on drawings at the construction site.
5. Quality Assurance and Safety:

Inspect materials used for construction for quality and conformity to standards.

Ensure work is executed as per the quality checklist and method statements.

Support in implementing safety measures, PPE compliance, and hazard identification at the site.
6. Project Documentation and Reporting:

Maintain daily site logs, labor attendance sheets, and work progress diaries.

Help prepare weekly and monthly progress reports for internal review.

Document material testing reports, inspection records, and site photographs.
7. Vendor and Client Interaction:
-
Assist in communication with vendors for material procurement and delivery schedules.

Join meetings with clients, consultants, and other stakeholders and prepare minutes.
-
Understand and escalate client requirements or complaints to the engineering lead.
