Good knowledge of design tools (Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator, Dreamweaver etc.).

Knowledge of designing for maximum usability and focus on user experience.

Ability to take a PSD/ mock or concept and turn it into a cross-browser compatible web page.

Strong understanding of W3C standards.
Should be able to develop clean & structured HTML, XHTML, CSS, SCSS, Bootstrap designs for front end design projects.
Design sample sites.
Designing products that are user-friendly, effective and appealing.
Ability to give expert design advice on projects, make recommendations for improving web sites.
WordPress Knowledge etc.
