Summary of role

• Generate and update website content (products, content, promotions)
• Plan, define and implement website changes, Optimization, and functional improvements
• Maintain and update the online marketing plan for the website
• Monitor key performance indicators on the website and develop plans to improve them
• Previous experience as a Senior Web Developer

Required Experience, Skills and Qualifications

Technical Skill Required

• Strong understand of HTML, HTML 5, CSS and CSS3, JavaScript, J Query, PHP, Bootstrap, SQL/PL SQL, Python, and AngularJS.
• Demonstrable knowledge of XML, XHTML, CSS, Modules i.e. API integration, Payment Gateways, XML with a focus on standards.
• Experience in CMS i.e. WordPress, Magento, Wix, Joomla, Drupal, WooCommerce, Shopify and Open Cart
• Strong knowledge of PHP web frameworks.
• Working knowledge of Search Engine Optimization (SEO), Page speed Insights (Site Optimization)
• Shopify store development
• WordPress theme development
• General website development (landing pages).

Other Desired Skills

• Understanding of Cpanel and/or DirectAdmin
• Strong team working skills, demonstrating ability to collaborate and lead.
• Experience converting visual designs created by designers to HTML with an acute eye for detail.
• Experience with building/customizing eCommerce websites using WooCommerce, Shopify and Open Cart, LightSpeed, etc.
• Building, updating and maintaining responsive websites
• Work closely with digital strategists, SEO specialists & designers
• Understand client requirements and translate them into proper UX and UI functionality
• Ability to develop and manage e-commerce websites, web applications, other websites.
• Gathering requirements from clients and users
• Meeting designers, developers and project staff for progress updates
• The ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical clients at all levels of the organization.
• Solid understanding of the technical aspects of online applications, web development, eCommerce, development frameworks and tool sets.
• Understanding of security practices
• Familiarity with browser testing and debugging
• Team management skills
