Key Responsibilities
Welding Operations
-
Perform MIG, TIG, and ARC welding processes on various materials, including carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.

Use nut welding techniques (resistance welding) to attach fasteners securely and efficiently in line with design specifications.

Prepare workpieces by cleaning, cutting, grinding, or clamping as necessary before welding.

Use jigs, fixtures, and clamps to ensure precise alignment and fitting of components.
Reading and Interpretation
-
Read and understand blueprints, technical drawings, welding symbols, and work instructions.

Interpret welding specifications and procedures to determine appropriate equipment settings, filler material, and welding techniques.
Fabrication & Assembly
-
Fabricate structural components and assemblies according to production drawings and standards.

Assemble metal parts and substructures for machinery, tools, and other mechanical systems.

Assist in fitting and layout work prior to welding, ensuring accurate measurements using tape measures, calipers, or squares.
Weld Quality & Inspection
-
Conduct visual inspections of welds to detect imperfections or discontinuities such as cracks, incomplete fusion, and porosity.

Perform rework or repairs as needed to meet required quality standards.

Maintain quality control documentation and follow internal QC procedures.
Machine Operation & Maintenance
-
Operate various welding and cutting tools such as plasma cutters, grinders, angle cutters, and welding torches.
-
Regularly inspect and maintain welding equipment to ensure functionality and prevent malfunctions.

Replace or repair worn-out machine components as needed.
Safety & Compliance
-
Follow all company safety policies and procedures related to welding, grinding, cutting, and handling of metals and gases.

Use appropriate PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) such as welding helmets, gloves, goggles, and flame-resistant clothing.

Ensure that work areas are clean, organized, and free of hazards.

Adhere to fire safety and first-aid protocols at all times.
