Job Description

We are seeking a skilled wireman to join our team. The wireman will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment in accordance with safety and quality standards. Handle hand tool equipment. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of electrical systems and the ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical diagrams.

Duties:

Install, repair, and maintain electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, ensuring that work is in accordance with relevant codes.

Interpret blueprints, electrical diagrams, and technical documents to plan wiring layouts.

Measure, cut, and install wires and conduits, using hand tools and measuring instruments.

Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components, ensuring proper electrical connections.

Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices.

Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair.

Provide training and guidance to less experienced electricians or apprentices on the team.

Perform emergency repairs to restore power or prevent electrical hazards, often working outside of normal business hours.
