1. Post Name: Senior Education Officer – Hyderabad

2. Roles and Responsibilities

a. WWF India, one of the country’s largest conservation organizations is looking for a self-motivated and enthusiastic young Senior Education Officer at its Hyderabad office.

b. Our Environmental Education programmes are aimed at raising public awareness on conservation issues. Increasingly, programmes are aimed at building green capacity in educational institutions with teachers, youth and school children;

c. the aim is to generate a cadre of conservation-conscious and motivated citizens who may play role in promoting environmentally sustainable life-styles.

d. The incumbent will handle environment education programmes with schools in urban and rural areas of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana; organise outreach programmes for various sections of the society; support fund raising activities of the State Office

3. Location: Hyderabad

4. Job Profile:

a. Engage with students, teachers, principals for effective implementation of the program Organize capacity building workshops and other events for teachers, students 

b. Collect and collate data as evidences for assessing impact Network and coordinate with the School Education Departments and other key departments of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana

c. Regular reporting on progress of the work Outreach and Communicate on wild wisdom quiz, volunteer program (ECHO, Tide Turner) among various schools and colleges in the two Telugu states Organize outreach programmes on environmentally significant days

5. Education and Experience and skills:

a. Master’s degree in Life Sciences / Wildlife Biology/Ecology/ Environmental Education. At least 2 years of relevant experience Fluency in English and the local language, i.e. Telugu (speaking, reading and writing)

b. Good writing and communications skills are a must; Capability to prepare training modules and generate resource materials, Willingness to travel extensively
