Key Responsibilities:

X-Ray Imaging:
-
Operate X-ray machines and other imaging equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images of patients as requested by the medical team.

Position patients properly to ensure clear, accurate, and high-quality X-ray images.

Follow safety protocols to minimize patient exposure to radiation.

Patient Care:

Prepare patients for X-ray examinations, explaining the procedures and ensuring their comfort and safety.

Assist patients with positioning and ensure they are comfortable during the imaging process.

Monitor patients’ well-being during the procedure and respond to any concerns or issues that arise.

Radiation Safety and Compliance:

Ensure that all safety protocols and radiation protection guidelines are strictly followed to protect both patients and healthcare staff.

Maintain radiation exposure levels in compliance with established safety standards.

Regularly check the equipment to ensure it is functioning properly and report any faults or maintenance needs.

Equipment Maintenance:

Perform routine checks and maintenance on X-ray equipment to ensure optimal performance.

Report equipment malfunctions or issues to the supervisor or maintenance team promptly.

Maintain cleanliness and organization of the imaging area.

Record Keeping:

Accurately document patient information, X-ray procedures, and results in the hospital’s electronic medical records system.

Ensure proper labeling and tracking of X-ray images for future reference and medical review.

Maintain patient confidentiality and ensure that all medical records are securely stored.

Collaboration with Medical Team:

Work closely with radiologists, doctors, and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and treatment plans.

Provide support during imaging procedures as required, including assisting in positioning, adjusting equipment, and ensuring proper exposure settings.
