Young Professional-II/ Field Assistant  job Position in National Bureau of Fish Genetic Resources (NBFGR) on temporary & contract basis

Project Title  :  “Setting Up of Marine Ornamental Fish Village at Maharashtra: Way Forward to Promote Livelihood to Mangrove Dwellers and Biodiversity Conservation”

Qualification  :  1. First class in M.F.Sc./M.Sc./Marine Biotechnology/Coastal Aquaculture/Ocean Science & Technology/Zoology with specialization in Fisheries or Aquaculture. 2. One year research experience in ornamental fish hatchery operations/aquaculture.

Desirable : Expertise in marine ornamental aquaculture.

Emoluments :  Rs. 25,000/- fixed

Age Limit :  Minimum 21 years, Maximum 45 years (Relaxation as per rule)

Field Assistant

No. of Post  :  01

Qualification  :  1. X Std with minimum 3 years experience in fish hatchery/farm.

Desirable : Experience in fishing and marine ornamental aquaculture.

Emoluments :  Rs. 15,000/- fixed

Age Limit :   35 years for male and 40 years for female candidates (age relaxation as per GOI rules)

The National Bureau of Fish Genetic Resources (NBFGR) was established in December 1983 in a rented premises at Allahabad under the aegis of Indian Council of Agricultural Research to undertake research related to the conservation of fish germplasm resources of the country. The Bureau’s permanent infrastructure was developed at Canal Ring Road, Telibagh, Lucknow, U.P in 1999 comprising an administrative block, laboratories, farm and residential complex covering an area of 52  acres. The Institute's vision is assessment and conservation of fish genetic resources for intellectual property protection, sustainable utilization and posterity.
