Professional /SRF Microbiology recruitment in Indian Agricultural Research Institute on contractual basis
Project on: “Application of Microorganisms in Agriculture and Allied Sectors”
1. Developing microbial technology for the production of industrially important biopolymer and biomolecules
Young Professional (I) /1 position
Essential: Master degree in Microbiology / Biotechnology or equivalent with minimum of 60% marks. Desirable: Working knowledge of PCR, DNA isolation, gene cloning, gel electrophoresis.
Pay Scale :Rs. 15,000
2. Prospecting the potential of cyanobacteria based formulations as plant growth promoting and biocontrol agents in cereal-legume cropping system and selected vegetables
Young Professional (I) /1 position
Essential: M.Sc. Microbiology/ Applied Microbiology / Biotechnology with minimum 60% marks, having expertise in Plant-Microbe interaction studies in lab and field and bioinformatic analyses. Desirable: Experience in working with cyanobacteria; Good knowledge of computers and MS Office. Experience of field work and soil/plant/ microbiological analyses
Pay Scale : Rs. 15,000
3. Evaluation of Jute and Mesta biomass for bioethanol production potential”
SRF /1 position
Essential: M.Sc. Microbiology/Applied Microbiology/ Industrial Microbiology with minimum 60% marks. Candidate should meet requirement of NET/GATE or any other qualification as per ICAR OM No. Agril Edn. 6/27/2014-HRD dated 9th October 2015. Desirable: Experience in fermentation and enzymes/Biofuel production
Pay Scale: Rs 25,000/- +30% HRA
4. Synthetic biology and metabolic engineering opportunities for enhanced production of biofuels through microbes.
SRF /1 position
Essential: M.Sc. Microbiology / Biotechnology with minimum 60% marks. Candidate should meet requirement of NET/GATE or any other qualification as per ICAR OM No. Agril Edn. 6/27/2014-HRD dated 9th October 2015.
Desirable: Experience in molecular biology, biotechnology & bioinformatics, fermentation technology. Candidates with experience in biofuels production as evident from publications will be preferred.
