They are tasked with setting up any hardware, software, or network that the company may need to run its business. In some cases, a Systems Administrator may have to calibrate an entire building's worth of computer equipment to keep everything running smoothly.

This job involves being on call 24 hours a day because of the nature of the work. The Systems Administrator is often required to work overtime or take on weekend shifts in case of an emergency or outage.

Qualifications required to become a Systems Administrator

The first one is having a bachelor degree in engineering or computer science. Another qualification is that you need to be proficient in at least one of the following programming languages, Python, C++, Java, Ruby or Scala.
