Selection Process : Â The admission to M. Tech. programmes will be based on a valid GATE score (Graduate Aptitude Test for Engineers) and personal interview (30 marks). Merit list will be prepared based on valid GATE score multiplied by 0.07 (70% weightage of GATE score, GATE score will be taken as per old formula and not the new formula effective from 2013) and will be added to marks obtained in the personal interview. The merit list will be displayed on the NIFTEM website. After the admission of eligible GATE qualified candidates, the remaining seats, if any, will be filled by non-GATE candidates (B. E./B. Tech./M. Sc.). Non-GATE candidates would require to qualify the Entrance Exam (70 marks), conducted by NIFTEM and to be held at NIFTEM campus, Kundli only. The non-GATE applicants may note that the Common Entrance Exam shall NOT be conducted, if all seats have been filled by GATE candidates.
Application Fee : The application must also carry a non-refundable application fee, if not paid online, in form of DD only of Rs. 1000/- (General/ OBC) and Rs. 500/- (SC/ ST). All DD should be in favour of 'NIFTEM' payable at SBI, Brach (SC/ ST). All DD should be in favour of 'NIFTEM' Campus Kundli (Branch Code 15479).
