Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
1. Installation of Air Conditioning Systems
-
Install air conditioning units (window, split, cassette, ductable, VRF/VRV systems) in homes, offices, factories, and commercial buildings.
-
Conduct site inspections to determine optimal AC unit placement and installation plans.
-
Install ductwork, copper piping, drainage systems, insulation, and electrical components as per system specifications.
-
Perform pressure testing and system calibration after installation to ensure proper functioning.
2. Maintenance and Servicing
-
Conduct routine preventive maintenance of AC systems, including filter cleaning, gas top-ups, condenser coil washing, and inspection of electrical connections.
-
Check and ensure refrigerant levels are optimal and recharge gas if necessary.
-
Lubricate motors, bearings, and other mechanical parts.
-
Ensure timely servicing based on schedules or client service agreements.
3. Troubleshooting and Repairs
-
Identify and diagnose mechanical or electrical faults in AC systems.
-
Repair or replace faulty parts like compressors, motors, capacitors, thermostats, sensors, PCB boards, and other components.
-
Test systems after repairs to verify performance and reliability.
-
Use diagnostic tools, pressure gauges, and multimeters to pinpoint issues accurately.
4. Documentation and Reporting
-
Maintain service records for all repair, maintenance, and installation activities.

Fill out job completion forms, checklists, and maintenance logs.
-
Report major issues to supervisors and suggest permanent repair solutions.
-
Communicate with customers or office teams regarding required spare parts, quotations, or delays.
5. Safety and Compliance
-
Follow company policies and safety guidelines during all tasks.
-
Ensure proper use of PPE (gloves, helmets, safety glasses, masks) on job sites.

Handle refrigerants and other chemicals responsibly, avoiding leaks or environmental damage.

Ensure compliance with HVAC industry standards and local regulations.
