Job Description
Key Responsibilities:

Financial Record Keeping:

Maintain accurate records of daily financial transactions and entries.

Ensure proper classification of transactions and general ledger postings.

Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and accounts payable/receivable.

Accounts Payable and Receivable:

Process incoming payments, including issuing invoices and ensuring timely collection of payments.

Handle accounts payable tasks, ensuring timely and accurate payments to vendors and suppliers.

Assist in managing and processing payments, checking invoices, and reconciling vendor statements.

Financial Reporting and Analysis:
-
Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.

Analyze financial data to detect discrepancies, trends, and areas for improvement.

Assist in preparing reports for senior management or stakeholders as required.

Taxation Support:

Assist in preparing tax-related documentation, including VAT, GST, and other indirect taxes.
-
Ensure compliance with applicable tax laws and regulations, assisting in the preparation and filing of tax returns.

Maintain records related to tax deductions and prepare reports on tax liabilities.

Audit Preparation and Support:

Support internal and external audit processes by providing necessary documentation, records, and financial data.

Assist in conducting reconciliations and reviews to ensure compliance with audit standards.

Address audit queries by providing accurate and timely information.

Budgeting and Forecasting:

Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts.
-
Monitor expenditures to ensure they align with the budget and notify management of variances.
-
Track and report on monthly, quarterly, and annual financial performance against budget projections.

Client and Vendor Relationship Management:

Communicate with clients and vendors to resolve billing discrepancies, payment issues, or other accounting-related concerns.

Maintain good relationships with clients and vendors to ensure smooth financial transactions.

Provide customer service support in handling financial queries.

General Administrative Support:
-
Assist the finance department with general administrative tasks such as organizing financial documentation, filing, and data entry.
-
Maintain and organize accounting records, ensuring they are readily accessible when needed.

Provide support in processing payroll, managing employee reimbursements, and other financial tasks.

Process Improvement and Compliance:

Recommend improvements to accounting processes and controls to increase efficiency and accuracy.

Ensure compliance with company financial policies and accounting standards.

Keep up to date with changes in accounting laws, standards, and best practices.
