Accountant Cum Audit Assistant Jobs Opening in P K Mehta & Co at Majestic, Bangalore
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
1. Accounting Tasks:
-
Maintain accurate books of accounts for clients using Tally ERP or similar accounting software.
-
Record day-to-day financial transactions including journal entries, purchase and sales invoices, receipts, and payments.
-
Prepare ledgers, bank reconciliations, cash books, and trial balances.
-
Assist in the preparation of final accounts such as profit & loss statements and balance sheets.
-
Monitor and manage accounts receivable and payable records on behalf of clients.
2. Audit Support:
-
Assist auditors in conducting statutory audits, tax audits, and internal audits of clients.
-
Prepare and compile audit working papers and client financial data.
-
Ensure that financial records comply with applicable accounting standards and tax laws.

Support the team in vouching, verification, and reconciliation activities.

Assist in conducting physical verification of inventories, fixed assets, and stock audits.
3. Taxation and Compliance:
-
Assist in preparing and filing GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, etc.).
-
Support preparation and filing of TDS returns and other statutory forms.
-
Maintain documentation for tax compliance and assist in responding to notices or queries from tax authorities.
-
Assist in the preparation of Income Tax Returns (ITRs) for individuals, firms, and companies.
4. Client Interaction and Documentation:
-
Coordinate with client teams to collect required data, documents, and financial information.
-
Maintain and update client records, invoices, and compliance trackers.
-
Draft standard communication, letters, and reports under supervision.
-
Ensure confidentiality and professionalism in all client interactions.
5. Office and Administrative Support:
-
Assist with internal office accounting and petty cash maintenance if required.

Help maintain client files (physical and digital) for easy reference and audit trail.

Provide administrative support during audit assignments and deadlines.
