About Company
Nisarga Fresh was founded in the year 2013. From
its inception till date, Nisarga Fresh’s journey has been widespread, from
procurement of agricultural produce till exports; Nisarga Fresh has experienced
all the factors building the agriculture supply chain. Over the last few years,
Nisarga Fresh has seen a tremendous growth and is considered as the fastest
growing company in the field of the products which it handles. Own farming
operations and closely monitored contract farming production, network of
logistics and freight forwarding operators and newly set up distribution
centres in Mumbai, India and Amsterdam, Netherlands has helped Nisarga Fresh to
bring a lot of sustainability, stability, traceability and international
standards quality control to its business operations.
Nisarga Fresh has leased farms in Maharashtra and a network of contract farmers in Maharashtra, Gujarat and Karnataka. We at Nisarga Fresh believe in the 3 M’s i.e. Men, Machinery and Material, if these 3M’s are managed properly at any farms the output of the farms can be doubled, thereby maximizing the yield and profit. Extensive R&D is done on these farms and ‘Model Farm’ scenarios are created and trials are conducted using advanced technology. Both, open and protected farming is carried out on these farms. Regular soil testing is carried out to study optimum nutrient requirement per soil per crop. Newer crop varieties are tried and tested. Nisarga Fresh provides Integrated Pest and Nutrient Management programs to the growers to get the high value and nutritious produce. The best practices and R&D results are shared with our network of contract farmers. Nisarga Fresh farms and production facilities have been certified to the international standards including HACCP and Global GAP norms. Nisarga Fresh has very unique system of traceability to trace back the produce from shelf to seed. Nisarga Fresh's dedication to quality is a commitment solidly backed by: comprehensive programs for food safety, scientific crop protection programs, stringent quality control measures, state-of-the-art packaging and transportation technologies, continuous improvement through research and innovation, and dedication to the safety of our employees, communities and the environment.
Nisarga Fresh undertakes its own farming to produce high value and wholesome fresh fruits and vegetables. Along with its own production, the company monitors its contract farmers very closely to get the same output from them. This produce from its own farms and contract farms, is harvested by a skilled and trained harvesting team of contract employees called ‘harvesters’ which is then brought to a dedicated pack - house handling the produce for packaging. The packaged product is pre – cooled to product friendly temperature to increase its shelf life. After pre – cooling the produce, the produce is stored in the cold storage chambers at preset temperature levels. As per the dispatch and delivery schedule, these packaged products are shipped out to various supermarkets, food service operators, convenience stores, wholesalers, retailers and restaurants.
