Job Description
Overview
We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting operations and financial entries using Tally accounting software. The ideal candidate should have working knowledge of accounting principles and be capable of handling voucher entries, debtor/creditor reconciliation, and GST-related tasks. Freshers are welcome to apply, and training will be provided.
This position plays a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting the preparation of reports, and assisting in the finalization of books of accounts.
Key Responsibilities
1. Tally Accounting
-
Enter all types of vouchers in Tally, including payment, receipt, journal, and contra entries.

Maintain and update all ledgers in Tally for timely and accurate reporting.

Create and manage company data in Tally ERP with appropriate chart of accounts.
2. Sales and Purchase Entries
-
Record sales and purchase invoices in Tally with proper GST classification.

Verify invoices against supporting documents and ensure correct vendor/customer details.

Ensure accurate tax entries (GST, TDS) and reconcile periodically.
3. Reconciliation Tasks
-
Perform Debtor and Creditor reconciliations, ensuring all balances match customer/vendor records.

Prepare and update bank reconciliation statements regularly.

Reconcile GSTR 2A & 2B with purchase registers for accurate GST claim filing.

Identify mismatches and coordinate with vendors to rectify discrepancies.
4. Taxation and Compliance

Assist in GST return preparation and filing in coordination with senior accountants.

Maintain documentation for audits and compliance requirements.

Monitor due dates for GST, TDS, and other statutory filings.
5. Finalization Support
-
Support senior accountants or auditors in finalization of books of accounts at the end of the financial year.

Prepare necessary schedules and summaries required for balance sheet and profit & loss statements.

Assist in generating reports and summaries for management review.
Required Skills and Qualifications
-
Knowledge of Tally ERP 9 or Tally Prime is essential.

Basic understanding of accounting principles and Indian taxation (GST, TDS).

Good communication and coordination skills.

Attention to detail and numerical accuracy.

Willingness to learn and take initiative in financial reporting tasks.
