Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
1. Daily Accounting Operations:
-
Record all financial transactions including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments accurately in Tally Prime.

Maintain day-to-day books of accounts including ledger, cash book, bank book, and journal entries.
-
Handle petty cash management and reconciliation.
-
Monitor company bank accounts, perform bank reconciliations regularly, and track transactions.
-
Ensure proper documentation of all financial records including invoices, bills, and receipts.
2. GST Compliance:
-
Prepare and file monthly/quarterly/annual GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9) on time.
-
Reconcile GST input tax credit (ITC) and ensure accurate claims based on vendor data.

Stay updated with GST rules and compliance changes and ensure the business adheres to current regulations.

Maintain detailed GST records for internal and external audits.
3. Tally Prime Operations:
-
Use Tally Prime for accounting entries, tax calculations, and inventory management if applicable.
-
Generate reports such as trial balance, profit & loss, balance sheet, and ledgers.
-
Maintain Tally data backup and coordinate with the IT team for system updates when required.

Customize vouchers and reports in Tally Prime to suit company needs.
4. Accounts Payable and Receivable:
-
Raise invoices to clients/customers and track outstanding receivables.
-
Follow up with clients for timely payments and issue receipts.
-
Verify vendor bills and process vendor payments on time.
-
Maintain ageing reports for debtors and creditors and manage payment cycles.
5. Office Administration Support:
-
Assist in managing daily office operations like coordinating with vendors, ordering supplies, and maintaining documentation.
-
Maintain employee attendance records, expense reports, and basic HR documentation if required.
-
Support the finance team during audits by preparing necessary records and documents.
-
Liaise with external consultants such as auditors, CA firms, and tax professionals as needed.
6. Financial Reporting and Analysis:
-
Prepare monthly and quarterly financial statements for management review.
-
Track and report on key financial metrics such as cash flow, expenses, and revenue.
-
Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
-
Provide financial insights and suggestions for cost optimization and business improvement.
