Job Description
Key Responsibilities
Financial Transactions and Recordkeeping

Record day-to-day financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.

Reconcile bank statements and company accounts regularly to ensure accuracy.

Prepare journal entries and maintain accurate supporting documentation.
Reporting and Financial Statements

Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with accounting standards.

Generate internal financial reports to help management track key metrics and make informed decisions.

Maintain organized and complete records to support internal reviews and audits.
Budgeting and Forecasting

Support the Finance Manager in budget preparation, variance analysis, and forecasting activities.

Monitor departmental expenses against approved budgets and report variances.
Tax and Compliance
-
Prepare and file tax returns (corporate tax, VAT, GST, etc.) in compliance with local regulations and deadlines.

Ensure the company complies with financial regulations, accounting standards, and statutory requirements.

Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory bodies during audits and inspections.
Accounts Payable and Receivable

Manage vendor invoices, payment cycles, and aging reports.

Follow up with customers for payments and ensure timely collection of receivables.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer and vendor ledgers.
Payroll and Employee Reimbursements

Support payroll processing, ensuring accurate recording of salary expenses and statutory deductions.

Verify and process employee reimbursements and advances according to company policy.
Internal Controls and Process Improvement

Help develop and implement accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.

Identify opportunities to improve financial systems, workflows, and automation tools.
Collaboration and Communication

Work closely with cross-functional teams including procurement, HR, operations, and sales to ensure smooth financial coordination.

Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders including vendors, customers, banks, and auditors.
