Key Responsibilities:
1. Bank Reconciliation:
-
Assist in preparing bank reconciliation statements (BRS) for company accounts.

Match company bank book entries with bank statements and identify discrepancies.
-
Follow up with concerned teams or banks to resolve differences.
2. Banking Support Activities:
-
Maintain records of daily banking transactions including deposits, withdrawals, and online transfers.
-
Assist in downloading bank statements and documenting UTR numbers or cheque details.
-
Support in preparing and updating NEFT/RTGS payment reports.
3. Expense Booking and Data Entry:
-
Accurately record daily expenses such as office supplies, petty cash, travel reimbursements, utility bills, etc.

Verify supporting bills or receipts and ensure correct accounting treatment.

Enter transactions in Tally ERP with proper narration and classification under the correct ledger heads.
4. Tally Operations:
-
Operate Tally ERP (preferably Tally Prime) for voucher entries including payment, receipt, journal, and contra vouchers.

Maintain proper voucher numbers and filing of supporting documents.
-
Generate reports such as day books, ledger summaries, and trial balances for review.
5. Supporting Audit and Compliance:
-
Assist in organizing accounting files and documentation for internal or statutory audits.

Maintain hard copy and soft copy records of vouchers, bills, and reconciliations.

Help ensure records are GST and TDS compliant (if applicable).
6. General Accounting Support:
-
Support senior accountants with month-end and year-end financial procedures.

Assist in preparing basic MIS reports such as expense summaries and cash flow updates.

Coordinate with vendors or internal departments for invoice-related queries.
