Job Description
The Admission Counselor is responsible for recruiting and advising prospective students and their families throughout the admissions process. This role involves providing information about the institution, evaluating applications, conducting interviews, and participating in recruitment events. The Admission Counselor will work closely with prospective students to guide them through the application process, ensuring a positive and supportive experience.Review and evaluate student applications, including academic records, essays, and recommendation letters. Conduct interviews with prospective students and assess their suitability for admission. Make admission recommendations and decisions based on established criteria. Provide information and guidance to prospective students and their families about the institution's programs, admissions requirements, and financial aid options.
Assist students with the application process, including completing forms, preparing for interviews, and meeting deadlines. Address questions and concerns from applicants and their families in a timely and professional manner. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of applicant interactions and status.
Prepare and present reports on recruitment and admissions metrics to the Director of Admissions. Assist in the development of marketing materials and communications to promote the institution. Collaborate with other admissions staff and departments to ensure a cohesive recruitment strategy.
Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.
