Job Description:

You have

• 0 to 1.5 years commercial experience of Native Android development with Java
• Experience/Knowledge of Android Studio or IntelliJ with gradle
• An understanding of architecting and structuring Android apps to run on multiple supported device profiles (i.e. tablet, phone), with experience in developing for Android 4.4+ and Material Design
  
• An aptitude and openness to learn new skills and technologies
• Analytical and problem-solving skills - whether it be tracking down an obscure performance issue on certain devices, or getting to the bottom of how best to translate business requirements into a fully implemented solution
• Strong opinions on what goes into making a good mobile app around areas such as performance, security and usability
• An awareness of networks, HTTP, RESTful APIs and how a mobile app consumes them
• A basic appreciation of mobile UX and knowledge of the latest Android UI approaches, particularly having basic understanding of Material Design
• Understanding and Experience in Unit testing and what goes into high-quality app development
• Knowledge of git, build servers and other supporting systems
• Any Knowledge of hybrid/web applications and the latest advances with HTML5/AngularJS will be a plus
