Position Purpose 

• The Mobile Application developer will be accountable for design, development test and deployment mobile applications. 
  
• The developer will work with the Mobility architect in designing innovative mobile applications. 
  
• The developer will strive to create very high quality applications using the best in industry methods, tools and algorithms for application development.
  

Principal Accountability 

Mobile Application development

• Deliver across the entire app-life cycle – concept, design, build, deploy, test and release to app store and support.
  
• Build prototypes at the tech scoping stage of the project.
  
• Produce fully functional mobile applications writing clean code.
  
• Working with the Web services / API developers to create and integrate the API’s for the mobile apps and maintains a robust framework to support the Apps.
  
• Work with the UX designers to build the interface with focus on usability features.
  
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design and ship new features.
  
• Create compelling mobile device specific user interfaces and experiences.
  
• Optimize the performance of the Apps.
  
• Keep up to date on the latest industry trends in the mobile technologies.
  
• Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency. Governance and Quality Assurance
  
• Plays a technical specialist role in championing quality assurance activities like code scanning, code review, static analysis and test case development.
  
• Perform Unit tests and ensure the code complexity is as per the industry benchmark.
  
• Ensure best practices and performance for the final application in terms of speed, memory consumption and other security parameters detailed in the application design.
  
• Provides technical expertise, guidance and oversight while collaborating with other partner IT teams, internal and external to Cargill.
  

Miscellaneous Duties

• As assigned Qualifications Experience
  
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent with 3+ experience in: Computer Science, Information Systems, with focus on Mobile application development.
  
• 2 + years of Mobile application development experience, including: analysis, technical design, coding, testing, deployment, and transition to support.
  
• 2+ years of experience working with end to end software development using agile/scrum methodology.
  
• Excellent analytical skills with a good problem solving attitude.
  
• Agile, quick learner of new technologies
  
• Ability to work well in cross-functional teams and foster team commitment to meeting objectives
  
• Proactive, creative problem solving skills in ambiguous and changing environments
  
• Strong experience with object oriented programming and design principles.
  
• Passionate about Mobile application and digital technologies.

• Strong OOPS design and programming skills.
  
• 2+ years of experience developing in the iOS and Android platforms.
  
• In-depth knowledge of at least one programming languages like C#, Objective-C, Java.
  
• Capable of designing and building advanced applications for the Android and iOS platform.
  
• Familiar with iOS SDK (UIkit, Cocoa Touch, Core data, Core Location etc.)
  
• Familiar with Android SDK Ø Knowledge of SQLite, MySQL or similar database systems.
  
• Broad understanding of object-oriented and functional programming paradigms
  
• Understanding of other compiled languages (C++, C, Java etc)
  
• Experience on web services integration (SOAP, REST, JSON, XML)
  
• Familiar with HTML5, Javascript, Jquery, and any bootstrap framework (Node.JS, Angular.JS)
  
• Have knowledge of continuous integration and repository tools like GIT, GITHub, Jenkins
