Job Description

Position Summary:

The Applicant Support Assistant’s key responsibility will be informing and investing the most outstanding college graduates and working professionals to join the Fellowship Program of Teach For India.
This person will play a crucial role in engaging and assisting potential applicants to ensure an excellent applicant experience.
Note : This is a 1 year role in the capacity of a Consultant.
Team Overview:The Recruitment team is not just the face, but also the heart of Teach For India.
The Recruitment team advocates and fights to get the greatest leaders into our classrooms to ensure Teach For India’s continued and multiplied impact on Indian education.
The team’s work is at the core of building our movement.
The Fellowship Recruitment team is responsible for building the Teach For India brand nationally, regionally, and within colleges and corporates to attract the best talent in India.
Last year, we received over 14,000 applications and recruited 634 Fellows for the movement.
As one of the most external facing teams, we build the brand of Teach For India nationally through engagement with the top institutions of the country, media partnerships, branding and promotion campaigns, and by creating strong champions for the movement.
We provide avenues for prospective applicants to meet with Fellows, Staff and students, and we meet with corporate and college stakeholders to invest them in the movement.
We engage with the city teams in order to ensure that the organisation acts as one team in our mission to find our movement of leaders who will eliminate educational inequity and ensure that all children attain an excellent vision.

Responsibilities:

Manage large amounts of inbound and outbound calls in a timely manner
Follow communication “scripts/ guidelines” when handling different topics
Build sustainable relationships with candidate and invest them into the Fellowship Program.
Keep records of all conversations in our database in a comprehensible way
Frequently attend trainings for upskilling

Knowledge and Technical Skills:-

Exceptional written and oral communication skills in English
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel
Ability to multi-task, set priorities and manage time effectively Competencies and Abilities:
Customer focus and adaptability to different personality types
Excellent interpersonal skills -Strong time management skills and ability to remain flexible in order to manage tight deadlines
