Your Role and Responsibilities
As Application Developer for DevOps, you will be part of Certified Images team belong to Orchestration tribe under GTS Infrastructure Services organization. The goal is to design, develop and deliver certified, secure and compliant virtual machine images for hybrid multi-cloud platforms, including IBM Cloud, Openstack, Oracle Cloud, Microsoft Azure, etc.
You will be responsible for

• Build and test images of Linux, Windows and AIX OS with automation script, and collaborate with corresponding teams to deliver and register the images to cloud data centres.
• Enhance the automation pipeline to increase the productivity of image build, test, upload and register, and reduce the time of value to the customer.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• Minimum 6+ years of experience in the IT domain
• Proficient in Object-Oriented Programming languages like Java
• Working knowledge in scripting languages like Python, JavaScript (NodeJS)
• Expertise in popular virtualization technologies (e.g. VMware, Openstack, Power) and microservices architecture
• Solid understanding of Linux and Windows development, debugging, administration and automation frameworks - Bash, PowerShell, Chef, Ansible
• In-depth experience delivering new features using agile development practices including continuous integration and automated
  

Preferred Technical And Professional Expertise

• Proven knowledge in Security concepts like CIS, ITCS104, PCI, Nessus
• Hands-on knowledge in cloud infrastructure automation tools - Packer, Terraform
• Working knowledge in container platforms (e.g. Docker) and container orchestration (e.g. Kubernetes)
• Any Degree, BE/B.Tech or MCA from a reputed institute
• You love collaborative environments that use agile methodologies to encourage creative design thinking and find innovative ways to develop with cutting edge technologies
• An ambitious individual who can work under their own direction towards agreed targets/goals and with a creative approach to work
• An intuitive individual with an ability to manage change and proven time management
• Proven interpersonal skills while contributing to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
• Up-to-date technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing publications
