Job Description
L1/L2 Incident Triage: Act as the first point of contact for technical issues reported by Portfolio Managers and Analysts. Acknowledge, categorize, and prioritize tickets based on business impact.
Log Analysis & Debugging: Proactively monitor application logs (using tools like Splunk or ELK) to identify errors. Perform code-level debugging in Java and Python to understand why a process failed, even if the fix is implemented by a separate engineering team.
Data Troubleshooting (SQL): Execute complex SQL queries to investigate data discrepancies in lending databases. Validate that collateral values, interest rates, and position data are flowing correctly between systems.
System Monitoring: Monitor batch jobs and real-time data feeds critical to the Asset Secured Lending business. Ensure that daily reporting cycles and data uploads to Global Banking & Markets (GBM) systems complete successfully.
Minor Technical Adjustments: Perform minor configuration changes or script updates (Python/Shell) to resolve immediate operational bottlenecks or data alignment issues.
Stakeholder Management: Provide regular status updates to business users during system outages. Translate technical findings into clear, non-technical language for stakeholders in Dallas and Bengaluru.
Knowledge Management: Maintain and update "Runbooks" and support documentation to ensure that recurring issues have documented L1 resolution steps.
