Assistant Professor/ Academic Consultants Jobs opportunity in U.P Rajarashi Tandon Open University

Assistant Professor

No. of Posts : 02 (Sansrit-01 (UR), School of Scoical Sciences-01 (UR)

Qualification : i. Good Academic record as defined by the concerned University with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) at the Master’s Degree level in a relevant subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university; ii. Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC,CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET; iii. Notwithstanding anything contained in sub-clauses (i) and (ii) above candidates, who are or have been awarded a Ph.D degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of Ph.D. degree) Regulations, 2009 shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/SLET/SET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor of equivalent position in Universities/ Colleges/ Institution. OR The candidates having been awarded Ph.D degree prior to 11.07.2009, the date of notification of UGC (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of M.Phil /Ph.D degree) Regulations, 2009 or admitted prior to the aforesaid date and awarded Ph.D after the above notification shall also be eligible to apply for the post of Assistant Professor / Guest Faculty provided they fulfill minimum 6 out of 11 criteria recommended by the Thyagrajan Committee and produce a certificate to this effect issued by the office of the Controller Examinations. iv. NET/SLET/SET shall not be required for such Master’ Programmes in Disciplines for which NET/SLET/SET is not conducted.

Qualifications

Consultant, B.Ed. Special Education : (i) Master's Degree of a recognized University or an equivalent degree from an accredited Foreign University in the relevant subject with at least 55% marks or equivalent grade (for SC/ST/disabled candidates 50% marks or its equivalent grade) (ii) The candidate must possess good academic record i.e 50% marks in Bachelor's Degree Examination. SC/ST candidates having NET/SLET/SET or having Ph.D. degree shall be entitled for relaxation of 5% marks. (iii) The candidate should have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET. (iv) Holders of Ph.D degree as on the date of Notification of UGC Regulations 2009 along with those who are awarded a Ph.D degree in accordance with these UGC regulations 2009 & regulations 2016 shall be exempted from NET/SLET/SET. (v) M.Ed Degree in specific disability area with not less than 55% of marks Or an equivalent grade of B+ in 10-point scale of UGC. OR An equivalent degree from a foreign university recognized by RCI. Valid registration with RCI u/s 19 of RCI Act 1992 is essential .* RCI as Statutory Regulatory Boa), prescribes 50% as per the UGC Regulations Gazette di. September 18, 2010 section 1.1.1 

Desirable : M.Phil /Ph.D in Special Education or Education with research emphasis on Special Educatiom Experience for at period of at least 2 years as teacher or researcher in the area of specific disability.

Consultant (English, Environmental Studies, Yoga) : Minimum Qualification as per UGC Norms for the post of Assistant Professor.

Honorarium : Rs. 29,000/-
