Assistant Professor /Technician (Electronics) recruitment in Jamia Millia Islamia
Assistant Professor ( Television Direction & Production)
Qualification: (a) Good academic records as defined by the university with at least 55% marks (or on equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading is followed ) at the Master's Degree from a Govt. recognized University in Mass Communication or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university with Television Direction/Production as a core/major subject.
(b) Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) in the relevant subject conducted by the
UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET.
(c) Candidates, who are, or have been awarded a M.Phil/Ph.D Degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of Ph.D Degree) Regulations. 2009. shall be exempted from the requirement and appointment of Assistant Professor or equivalent positions in Universities/College/Institutions.
(d) Two years experience of Television programme production/direction with high end professional grade equipments and software on single and multi camera set-up.
Desirable: (a) Two years teaching experience of Television Production/Direction and professional experience of working in the television industry in the capacity of Director/Producer. (b) Familiarity with the latest trends in the Television Profession/Industry.
Assistant Professor ( Film & Cultural Studies)
Qualification: (a) Good academic record with at least 55% marks (or equivalent grade) at Master's Degree level or an equivalent qualification from an Indian or Foreign University/ recognized institution in Communication/ Mass Communication with Film appreciation/Film & Cultural Studies as major paper or M.A in any discipline with 55% marks with P.G Course in Film Studies. Candidate, besides fulfilling the above qualification, should have cleared the eligibility test for lecturers conducted by UGC or similar test accredited by the
UGC. (b) NET shall remain the compulsory requirement for appointment as Lecturer for those with post-graduate degree. However, the candidate having PhD degree in the concerned subject is exempted from NET from PG level and UG level teaching. The candidate having
M.Phil. degree also.
Desirable: (a) Teaching experience of Film Studies/ Appreciation. (b) Very good understanding of film Production.

Technician (Electronics)
Essential Qualifications: (a) Three years Diploma in Electronics or Telecommunication or Sound Engineering Or Computer Engineering from a recognized Institution/Polytechnic. (b) One year practical experience in the operation, repair and maintenance of
Film Nideo/TV/Radio equipment in an organization of repute.
Desirable: (a) Ability to assists students in practical on latest broadcast/film equipment (b) Working knowledge of English. Urdu and Hindi.
