Assistant Professors

No. of Posts  :  12

Qualification  :  (I) A recognized Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree qualification included in the First Schedule or Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule (other than licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (102 of 1956) and holders of educational qualifications included in Part II of the Third Schedule should also fulfill the conditions specified in sub-section (3) of section 13 of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (102 of 1956); (II) post-graduate Degree in the speciality or super-speciality in the following courses, namely:-

Experience :  (III) At least three years’ teaching experience as Senior Resident or Tutor or Demonstrator or Registrar in the concerned specialty or super-specialty in a recognized teaching Institution, after obtaining the first postgraduate degree

Pay :  Level 11 of the Pay Matrix and gross salary is about Rs. 1.15 lakh

Age Limit :  Not exceeding forty years.

Associate Professor

No. of Posts  :  3

Qualification  :   (I) A recognised Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree qualification included in the First Schedule or Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule (other than licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (102 of 1956) and holders of educational qualifications included in Part II of the Third Schedule should also fulfil the conditions specified in sub-section (3) of section 13 of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (102 of 1956); (II) post-graduate Degree in the speciality or super-speciality in the following courses, namely: A Cardiology- Doctorate of Medicine (Cardiology); B Neurology- Doctorate of Medicine (Neurology) ; C Radiology- Doctor of Medicine (Radio-diagnosis) or Doctor of Medicine (Radiology) or Master of Surgery (Radiology)

Experience :  At least five years’ experience in the concerned specialty or super-specialty as senior resident or tutor or demonstrator or registrar or lecturer in a recognised teaching institution, after obtaining the first post-graduate degree, out of which at least two years shall be as an Assistant Professor.

Pay :  Level-12 (Rs. 78800- 209200) (Gross salary is about Rs. 1.27 lakh)

Age Limit :  Not exceeding fifty years.

Professor

No. of Posts  :  5

Qualification  :    (I) A recognised Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree qualification included in the First Schedule or Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule (other than licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (102 of 1956) and holders of educational qualifications included in Part II of the Third Schedule should also fulfil the conditions specified in sub-section (3) of section 13 of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (102 of 1956); (II) Post-graduate Degree in the speciality or super-speciality in the following courses, namely:- (A) Gastro surgery- Magister Chirurguie (Surgical))Gastroenterology); or Master of Surgery (Surgery) with two years special training in Surgical Gastroenterology (B) Nephrology- Doctorate of Medicine (Nephrology); (C) Neurology- Doctorate of Medicine (Neurology) ; (D) Psychiatry- Doctor of Medicine (Psychiatry) or Doctor of Medicine (Psychological Medicine) or Doctor of Medicine in Medicine with Diploma in Psychological Medicine or Diploma in Psychiatry (Edin) of two years course or Diploma in Psychiatry (Mc.Gill) University, Montreal, Canada of two years’ course ; (E) Radiology- Doctor of Medicine (Radio-diagnosis) or Doctor of Medicine (Radiology) or Master of Surgery (Radiology)

Experience :  Twelve years’ standing in the profession with extensive practical and administrative experience, out of which at least four years’ experience should be as an Associate Professor in the concerned Department in a medical college or recognised teaching institution of medical education after the requisite post-graduate degree qualification.

Pay :   Level 13 (Rs. 123100- 215900) (Gross salary Rs. 1.95 lakh approx.)

Age Limit :  Not exceeding fifty years.
