Job Description
Core Responsibilities
Framework Development: Design, build, and maintain automated testing frameworks for UI, API, and backend systems.
Script Creation & Execution: Develop, debug, and execute test scripts to automate functional, regression, and performance tests.
CI/CD Integration: Integrate test suites into continuous integration/continuous deployment pipelines (e.g., Jenkins) for automated validation.
Defect Management: Identify, analyze, document, and track software bugs through tools like Jira.
Collaboration: Work with developers and product managers to understand requirements, define test strategies, and ensure high test coverage.
Environment Setup: Configure and maintain test environments and test data.
Required Technical Skills
Languages: Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript.
Automation Tools: Strong experience with Selenium WebDriver, Cucumber, Appium, or TestNG.
API Testing: Hands-on experience with REST Assured, Postman, or Karate.
CI/CD & DevOps: Experience with Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar tools.
Database: SQL knowledge for backend data validation.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
2–4+ years of experience in software testing and automation.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
