Job Description
Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI.
Gather business requirements and translate them into technical BI solutions.
Develop data models, relationships, calculated columns, measures, and KPIs.
Write complex DAX calculations and optimize report performance.
Connect Power BI with various data sources including SQL Server, Excel, APIs, Azure, and cloud platforms.
Perform data transformation using Power Query and ETL processes.
Implement Row-Level Security (RLS) and data governance practices.
Optimize dashboards for usability, scalability, and performance.
Schedule data refreshes and troubleshoot refresh failures.
Collaborate with business stakeholders, analysts, and development teams.
Create reusable datasets and semantic models.
Maintain documentation for reports, dashboards, and data flows.
Support production deployments and resolve issues in a timely manner.
Required Skills
Strong hands-on experience in Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service
Expertise in:
DAX
Power Query
Data Modeling
SQL
ETL Concepts
Experience with:
SSRS / SSIS / SSAS
Azure Data Factory
Azure Synapse
SQL Server
Good understanding of:
Star Schema & Snowflake Schema
Data Warehousing concepts
Performance tuning
Data visualization best practices
Experience in publishing reports and managing workspaces in Power BI Service.
Knowledge of REST APIs and integrating external data sources.
Familiarity with Git/version control and Agile methodologies.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
Microsoft Power BI Certification is preferred.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
Knowledge of Python or R for analytics is an added advantage.
