Job Description
Applications are invited from interested and motivated candidates for the post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in a time bound research project for a temporary period purely on contractual basis as per the following details:
1. Post Name : Junior Research Fellow
2. No of Post : 01
3. Project Title:The distribution of the sum-of-digits function in algebraic number fields
4. Principal Investigator:Divyum Sharma (Assistant Professor, Dept. of Mathematics)
5. Project Tenure:Up to 2 years
6. Job Description: JRF will carry research in the above mentioned project and write research papers in indexed journals/conferences.
7. Essential Qualification: First class master’s degree in Mathematics/Computer Science from a recognized University or equivalent + GATE/NET/ any national-level Ph.D. entrance test qualified with sound knowledge in Number theory and Algebra. Background in theoretical computer science may be preferred. (Those who are not GATE/NET qualified shall be considered for the post lower than JRF as per DST norms)
8. Fellowship:
a) 31,000/-(initially first two years) + Rs 35,000 (afterward till the end of the project). + HRA to those who are selected through (a) National Eligibility Tests - CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) or GATE or (b) A selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions.
b) 25,000/-(initially first two years) + Rs 28,000 (afterward till the end of the project). + HRA to those who don't fall under category
