Job Description
Role:
- The Captain would be responsible for a smooth functioning of the entire restaurant even in the absence of restaurant manager.
- His primary concern would be to meet the daily targets as given by the restaurant Manager.
- Delivering high quality product & service, maintenance of reports, inventory management would be on the top of his list.
- To be responsible for the restaurant he/she works for.
- Present menu and provide detailed information when asked (E.g.: about portion, Ingredients or potential food allergies.
- Inform customers about the day specials
- Up sell additional products when appropriate
- Take accurate food & drink order using POS ordering software.
- Communicate order details to kitchen team
- Deliver checks and collect bill payments
- Maintain relevant financial reports – sales, inventory / costing, reconciliation reports up to date.
- Manage the cost by utilizing the ingredients as per the standards.
- Adherence to SOP manual, Daily Checklists.
- Deliver superior customer service and provide comment forms.
- To indent and maintain inventories in such a way that it does not disturb smooth everyday operations.
- Retain the low level staff and train them to the next level
- To maintain all equipments in excellent working condition, initiate preventive maintenance and follow up on pending requests made.
