Job Description
Install and configure CCTV cameras, DVR&NVR
Handle wiring (Cat5/Cat6) and cable management
Troubleshoot issues and perform system checks
Read diagrams and follow installation plans
Prior experience in CCTV installation
Basic network & cabling knowledge
Able to work independently
Driver’s license preferred
Key Responsibilities:
1. Installation of CCTV Systems:
-
Install CCTV systems including cameras, DVRs/NVRs, monitors, and cabling.

Mount cameras on walls, ceilings, poles, or other structures using proper brackets and fixtures.

Run, terminate, and connect coaxial, Cat5/Cat6 cables, and power supply lines.

Configure basic settings for DVRs/NVRs and cameras (IP address, recording mode, time/date, resolution).
2. System Testing and Commissioning:
-
Ensure all cameras are positioned correctly and recording clearly.

Conduct signal testing to confirm cable integrity and video feed quality.
-
Test recording and playback functions, motion detection, and alerts.
-
Hand over fully functional systems to the customer and get approval/sign-off.
3. Maintenance and Troubleshooting:
-
Perform regular maintenance on CCTV systems, checking camera alignment, recording status, and physical condition of equipment.

Diagnose and fix issues like video loss, blurry footage, power failure, and hard disk problems.

Replace damaged components like lenses, power adapters, BNC connectors, and cables.
4. Customer Service and Support:

Visit client sites to resolve system issues or respond to service calls.

Provide basic user training on how to operate DVR/NVR systems, view footage, and back up data.

Answer client questions and ensure their satisfaction with installed systems.
5. Documentation and Reporting:
-
Maintain installation checklists and service logs.

Document camera positions, cable routes, and system configurations for future reference.

Submit daily or weekly reports to supervisors or project managers.
6. Safety Compliance:
-
Follow all electrical safety standards and use proper tools and protective gear (gloves, helmet, harness, etc.).

Use ladders, scaffolding, or lifts safely when installing cameras at height.
-
Ensure cables are laid neatly and do not pose a tripping hazard or violate fire safety norms.
