Job Description

Candidate should be qualified Chartered Accountant with 0-2 years experience. The position is for MNC.
This position involves ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data, maintaining the general ledger, and supporting the month-end and year-end closing processes. The R2R associate works closely with the R2R lead or manager to ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies. Should have sound Record to Report knowledge.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting and Analysis:
- Prepare, analyze, and interpret financial statements such as income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
- Ensure financial statements comply with applicable accounting standards (e.g., IFRS, GAAP).
- Develop and monitor budgets, forecasts, and financial planning to support strategic decision-making.
- Identify trends, variances, and financial risks through in-depth analysis and provide actionable insights.
Taxation:
- Calculate, prepare, and file tax returns for individuals and organizations in compliance with national and local laws.
- Provide tax planning services to optimize tax liabilities.
- Keep abreast of tax law changes and assess their implications for the business.
- Represent clients during audits or tax disputes and liaise with tax authorities as needed.
Audit and Assurance:
- Conduct internal and external audits to examine financial records and verify their accuracy and compliance.
- Evaluate internal controls and suggest improvements to minimize risk and prevent fraud.
- Prepare audit reports and present findings to senior management or clients.
- Work with statutory auditors and regulatory bodies to ensure audit processes meet required standards.
Financial Compliance and Regulation:
- Ensure all financial practices are in accordance with the law and relevant regulations.
- Implement internal control systems to enhance financial integrity.
- Monitor compliance with industry standards, corporate policies, and financial regulations.
- Stay informed of changes in accounting, auditing, and financial regulations.
Budgeting and Cost Management:
- Prepare and manage budgets, allocate resources efficiently, and monitor spending.
- Analyze operational costs and propose cost-saving strategies.
- Assist departments in adhering to financial plans and optimize performance.
- Conduct variance analysis to identify areas where performance can be improved.
Advisory and Strategic Planning:
- Offer financial and business advice to help clients or businesses make informed decisions.
- Participate in long-term planning and business strategy development.
- Provide recommendations on mergers, acquisitions, investments, and funding.
- Collaborate with management to develop performance improvement strategies.
Client and Stakeholder Management:
- Serve as a point of contact for clients regarding financial and regulatory matters.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, banks, regulatory bodies, and internal departments.
- Communicate complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.
Technology and Systems:
- Utilize accounting software such as Tally, SAP, QuickBooks, Oracle, or similar ERP systems.
- Work with digital tools to enhance reporting, automation, and data analysis.
- Ensure data security and integrity in financial systems.
