Chittaranjan Locomotive Works (CLW) invites application for the position Contract Medical Practitioner
Position: Contract Medical Practitioner (CMP)
No of Post: 05
Educational/Technical Qualification:
i) GDMOs:- MBBS from a recognized University and must have completed one year rotating internship and should be in possession of a valid Registration Certificate issued by any of the State Medical Councils/Medical Councils of India.
ii) Specialists (Gynecologist /Pathologist/ orthopedic/ Radiologist/ General Surgery): MBBS with Post Graduate Degree/Diploma in the respective field of specialty recognized by MCI and should be in possession of a valid Registration Certificate issued by any of the State Medical Councils/Medical Councils of India.
Remuneration:
a) General Duty Medical Practitioner (GDMO): Rs.75,000/-
b) Specialists(1st year): Rs.95,000/-
c) Specialists (2nd year onwards): Rs.1,05,000/-
d) For Retired Railway/Government Doctor: Rs.75000/- subject to the condition that the remuneration+ pension drawn by retired doctor should not exceed the last pay drawn at the time of retirement.
Nature of Engagement:
a) The engagement is purely on contractual basis for one year or till regular UPSC selected Doctors become available whichever is earlier. Further, the services of these doctors are also terminable before the expiry of one year. The services rendered as contract doctors is a stop gap arrangement and will not have any bearing in respect of consideration of their period in case of regular selection through UPSC. It will also not confer any right for automatic Practitioner is regularization/absorption.
b) The contract shall liable to be terminated by giving 15 days notice by either side without assigning any reason, or if the Contract Medical mentally/physically incapacitated.
Age Limit: Entry level age not exceeding 53 years as on 01-03-2022 (5 years' age relaxation for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC). Maximum age limit is 65 years or 12 terms whichever is earlier and each term of engagement shall not exceed more than one year.

The initial project, at Chandmari, a place near Kanchrapara, in the state of West Bengal, could not mature due to partition, which inevitably necessitated a change of site.
