Civil CAD Designer Job Description
## Position Overview: A Civil CAD Designer creates and modifies detailed engineering drawings for civil engineering projects using AutoCAD software. This professional serves as a vital link between engineers' concepts and the final construction documents.

## Key Responsibilities

- Create accurate civil engineering drawings from sketches, notes, and verbal instructions

- Modify existing drawings based on design changes and engineering feedback

- Prepare construction documents including site plans, grading plans, utility plans, and road profiles

- Generate cross-sections, elevations, and detail drawings

- Maintain drawing files and ensure proper document control

- Coordinate with project engineers, surveyors, and other departments

- Convert survey data into usable CAD drawings

- Calculate quantities for material estimates

- Review drawings for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with standards

## Required Qualifications

- Associate's degree in Civil Engineering Technology, Drafting, or related field

- 2+ years of experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D software

- Proficiency in creating civil engineering construction documents

- Knowledge of civil engineering principles, terminology, and standards

- Understanding of construction methods and materials

- Attention to detail and strong spatial visualization skills
