We are looking for a witty, imaginative, and digital-savvy Comedy Content Writer to create engaging scripts and ideas for short-form video content. If you enjoy crafting humorous, viral, and relatable content for platforms like Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and TikTok, this role is perfect for you.
The ideal candidate has a natural sense of humor, strong command of storytelling, and an understanding of what resonates with digital audiences. Experience with digital marketing and basic video editing skills will be considered a major plus, as this role works closely with video creators and social media strategists.

Key Responsibilities:
Comedy Scriptwriting & Content Development

Write original, humorous, and engaging short-form content scripts (30 to 90 seconds) for social media platforms.

Develop character-based sketches, relatable scenarios, trending formats, and punchy dialogues.

Research trends in comedy, memes, social commentary, and pop culture to create timely and viral content.

Collaborate with actors, creators, or voiceover artists to match tone, delivery, and pacing of content.
Platform-Specific Content Writing

Adapt tone and humor to match platform-specific requirements (e.g., Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, Moj, TikTok).

Understand how to structure short videos to hook viewers within the first 3 seconds and maintain attention throughout.

Write catchy video titles, captions, and hashtags to boost discoverability and engagement.
Creative Brainstorming & Ideation

Participate in creative meetings with content creators, digital marketing teams, and editors.

Pitch new comedy video concepts, trends, and formats that align with the brand's voice or audience taste.

Take feedback constructively and iterate on scripts to meet performance goals or campaign objectives.
Digital Marketing Understanding (Optional but Preferred)

Support the team by aligning content with broader marketing goals like engagement, reach, and conversions.

Understand the basics of SEO for video, algorithm-friendly posting, and audience targeting strategies.

Help analyze performance metrics (views, shares, comments, watch time) to inform future content direction.
