Position Overview

  • This is a high-engagement role and thus requires a candidate who is extremely motivated, dedicated, and passionate about their responsibilities.

Roles & Responsibilities

 Online & Offline Marketing

  • Lead end to end marketing for the startup tunnel, online and offline. Manage outreach channels (social media, monthly newsletters, mailing list, etc) to spread the word about all the startup tunnel’s initiatives
  • Increase the inflow of traffic for the Startup Tunnel website and augment the number of followers and likes on twitter, facebook and linkedin.
  • Coordinating with Startup Tunnel portfolio companies as and when required to share news-worthy stories on all online platforms.
  • Strengthen the community by making active connections, organizing regular startup community meetups, etc
  • Conceptualize breakthrough campaigns and carry them through execution
  • Create and manage the local (internal and external) events calendar and ensure a constant flow of events along with active representation of Startup Tunnel

Content Curation

  • Curate research led content for all the social media platforms in terms of tweets, facebook posts, LinkedIn posts and blogs.
  • Identify newsworthy stuff emerging from Startup Tunnel and portfolio companies, writing press releases and driving in media coverages for Startup Tunnel

PR & Stakeholder Communication

  • Build and maintain relationships with entrepreneurial networks, media, potential mentors and investors.
  • Maintain Startup Tunnel digital presence, ensuring all information is updated from time to time
  • Lead local collaborations for startup tunnel’s events

 Coordination

  • Spearhead facility management along with admin team for the incubators 

Education, Qualification and skills needed

  • Graduate or Post Graduate in Journalism, Mass Communication or Business Administration
  • 2-3 years of  relevant work experience (PR/Corporate Communications)
  • Knowledge of Wordpress, Mailchimp and CRM software will be an added advantage
  • Ability to learn in a fast paced working environment and keep yourself abreast with the know-hows of startup ecosystem.
  • Comfortable with writing blog posts, articles, newsletters, communications materials, and material for social media channels.

You will lead the design process and creative strategy for a cross-disciplinary team, will drive the social insight to design analysis to solution development process and will work closely with our donors and design advisor. We’re looking for someone who has designed for complex social systems, has undertaken innovation workshop design and facilitation, has established design frameworks and processes for teams and has taken design solutions to medium scale pilots or implementation. The role presents a broader creative leadership and mission shaping opportunity at the Center for Knowledge Societies. 

About Startup Tunnel:

Startup Tunnel is an early stage incubator and an accelerator located in Delhi.  We run a 13 week acceleration program twice a year.  Startup Tunnel is looking for an entrepreneurial candidate with extremely strong execution and social skills. The Community Manager will directly report to the Director Communications and will be responsible for business and community development at Startup Tunnel.
