Qualification in Details:

ICMR-Vector Control Research Centre, an autonomous Institute, under the Indian Council of Medical Research, Department of Health Research, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India intends to engage Consultant (Scientific) purely on contractual basis for a period of one year. Retired Scientists (Non-Medical) from Central / State Government / Autonomous Organizations / Public Sector Undertaking are eligible for consideration for the above position.

1. Name of Post: Consultant (Scientific)

2. 2) Eligibility & other criteria: Professionals having proven competency should possess Ph.D., in Life Sciences / Biological Sciences from a recognized University with Research & Development experience and published papers in his / her area of work. (OR) Retired Government employees with relevant qualification and drawing pay in Pay Band 15,600-39,100 plus Grade Pay 5,400 & above (Pay Matrix-Level 10 & above as per 7th CPC) at the time of retirement with 20 years experience in the required field.

3. Consolidated emoluments: Maximum: Rs.60,000/- per month (consolidated)

4. Tenure: The initial term Of engagement will be for not more than one year and subsequent extension if any, will be considered depending upon the requirement.

5. Place of duty: ICMR-Vector Control Research Centre, Medical Complex, Indira Nagar, Puducherry. The selected candidate should also be prepared to work anywhere in India, as per requirement.
