Head-Note Writer

Job Description:
  • Writing head-notes for judgments of Supreme Court & High Courts as part of editorial enhancements & quality analysis of judgments.
  • To distill relevant information from judgments into crisp & concise head-notes.
  • To independently decide regarding product content & editorial value-add.
  • Having an analytical bent to identify & collect relevant legal issues.
  • Plan the contents of Judgement as per standards, policy & requirements.
  • Review accuracy & completeness of source materials, electronic conversions & editorial content.

Essentials:
  • Domain Knowledge is must
  • High level of computer literacy
  • Strong analytical skills & ability to synthesize information
  • Must have excellent knowledge of grammar, usage, punctuation & style as well as a keen attention to detail & the ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent written & verbal communication.
  • Knowledge of legal terminology is essential.
  • Able to express ideas in a clear, organized, concise & logical manner.
Educational Background:
B.A.LL.B./LL.B. from a reputed University/Institute.
Having masters degree will be an added advantage.

Experience: 0-5 Years
Salary: As per market standards
