Job Description
Job Overview:
We are looking for a skilled Content Writer who is fluent in both
Kannada and English. The candidate Should have expertise in media and public
relations, along with a passion for writing, The role requires creating,
editing, and managing content for various platforms, including newsletters,
websites, social media, and creative assets. The Content Writer will also be
responsible for handling media relations, public relations efforts, and
assisting in festival creative coordination.
Key Responsibilities:
ü Manage media relations to ensure positive brand representation.
ü Write and distribute press releases, articles, and other communication materials to the media in both Kannada and English.
ü Build and maintain relationships with media outlets to secure press coverage and opportunities.
ü write content for the monthly newsletter 'Window Seat' in English.
ü Collaborate with other teams to gather information, updates, and highlights for inclusion in the newsletter.
ü Ensure Smooth distribution and quality presentation of the newsletter.
ü Draft, edit, and review letters, messages, and emails as needed for internal and external communication, in both Kannada and English.
ü Write and schedule engaging content for Facebook page management,
focusing on the following Associations :
§ SKAL
§ FOAM
§ Heritage Mysuru
§ Mediatree
§ Visit Mysuru
ü Update and maintain content on company websites and blogs, ensuring information is relevant..
ü Manage social media platforms such as Instagram and Twitter, creating engaging content and campaigns in both Kannada and English.
ü Monitor social media trends and analytics to enhance content reach and engagement.
ü Work closely with the Dot Angle team to coordinate creative for different campaigns.
ü Assist in the creation of festival-related content and promotional materials.
ü Collaborate with the design team for ID cards, visiting card designs, and other marketing collaterals.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience as a content writer, with a portfolio of previous work.
- Strong knowledge of media and public relations.
- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills in both Kannada and English.
- Proficiency in social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc.) and website/blog management.
- Basic graphic design skills for the creation of marketing materials (ID cards, visiting cards, etc.) are a plus.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Creative and
detail-oriented with strong communication
Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, or related field.
