Job Description

Job Title: Inbound & Email Officer

Department: Customer Service Officer

Reports To: Team Leader / Manager

Job Purpose:

The Inbound & Email Officer will be responsible for handling customer queries and requests received through inbound calls and emails. The role requires ensuring timely, professional, and effective communication while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle inbound calls and respond to customer queries, requests, and complaints with professionalism.

  • Manage customer communication via emails, ensuring accurate and prompt responses.

  • Log and track all customer interactions in the system/CRM for future reference and follow-up.

  • Escalate unresolved issues to the appropriate department or supervisor and ensure timely closure.

  • Provide product, service, and process-related information to customers clearly and effectively.

  • Maintain service quality standards in line with company policies.

  • Identify opportunities to improve processes and customer experience.

  • Adhere to performance metrics such as response time, resolution time, and customer satisfaction scores.

  • Support cross-functional teams (sales, operations, technical) in resolving customer queries.

Key Skills & Competencies:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong customer service orientation and problem-solving ability.

  • Ability to manage time effectively and multitask between calls and emails.

  • Attention to detail with accurate data entry and documentation skills.

  • Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.

  • Basic knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

 Qualifications & Experience:

  • Graduate in any discipline (preferred: Business, Commerce, Communication).

  • Min 6 months of experience in customer service (inbound calls and/or email support).

  • Experience in call centre, BPO, or customer service desk will be an added advantage.

Work Environment:

  • Office / Call centre setup.

  • Candidate should be open to working on Weekends & Public holidays as per the business requirements.

  • One rotational week off

Work Location:  Thane

CTC : 25k
