Job Description

What You’ll Do
  • Developing, maintaining, and managing advanced reporting, analytics, dashboards and other BI solutions.
  • Performing and documenting data analysis, data validation, and data mapping/design.
  • Collaborating with teams to integrate new systems.
  • Conducting unit tests and developing database queries to analyze the effects and troubleshoot any issues.
  • Creating tools to store data within the organization.
  • Ensures comprehensive knowledge transition from development teams on new or modified applications moving to ongoing production support.
  • Seeks improvement opportunities in design, solution implementation approaches in partnership with development team for ensuring the performance and health of the BI platform.
  • Ensures timely and accurate escalation of issues to management
  • Responsible for communication related to any day to day issues and problem resolutions. Communication may include direct department management as well downstream/upstream application contacts and business partners.
Who you are
  • Degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 4 – 6 years of relevant work experience Tableau. ▪ A solid understanding of SQL, rational databases, and normalization.
  • Proficiency in use of query and reporting analysis tools. ▪ Competency in Excel (macros, pivot tables, etc.)
  • Extensive experience in developing, maintaining and managing Tableau driven dashboards & analytics and working knowledge of Tableau administration/architecture.
  • Knowledgeable about various Tableau desktop features like advanced calculations, parameters, joins, blending, stories, dashboards, user based authentication etc
  • Well versed with the differences between various versions of Tableau Desktop, Server, managing tableau server sites, users, projects and access permissions.
  • Experience with Scrum or other Agile processes
  • Proven experience working with onshore/off shore support team.
  • Natural technical and functional curiosity
  • Tableau certified profile is major plus.
Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent demonstrable experience.
