Job Description
Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:
1. Work with GIS experts to download, transform, and analyze huge datasets
2. Build pipelines that can execute tasks at a global scale
3. Research quantization, fine-tuning, and parallel training of foundation models with multiple GPUs across nodes
4. Build APIs and frameworks to enable and facilitate foundation model engineering
Qualifications:
1. Education: Bachelor or Master studies in the field of software engineering or comparable
2. Experience and knowledge: profound knowledge in high-performance computing, parallel training of deep learning models with a large dataset across multiple GP us on Linux on-prem Or Azure/AWS VM, NVIDIA GPU kernel knowledge is a plus; having a working knowledge of gis systems will be a huge plus
3. Proficiency in python; familiar with deep learning frameworks (e.g., tensor flow, caffe, py torch, etc.)
4. Personality and working practice: highly self-motivated team player
5. Enthusiasm: interested in kicking foundation models up a notch and passionate about software engineering
