Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
1. Delivery Operations:

Pick up items, parcels, or orders from the designated location such as a warehouse, restaurant, or store.

Deliver items to customers on time, ensuring accuracy and safety of the delivery.

Plan and follow the most efficient routes to optimize delivery time and fuel usage.

Confirm delivery addresses and verify the recipient’s details before handing over the items.
2. Customer Interaction:

Interact politely and professionally with customers during pickups and deliveries.

Collect customer signatures or digital confirmation upon successful delivery.
-
Address minor customer inquiries or complaints courteously and report major issues to supervisors.
3. Handling Items:
-
Handle items with care, ensuring no damage or loss during transport.

Use appropriate storage methods for perishable or fragile items (e.g., food, electronics).

Load and unload products from the delivery vehicle or bike as required.
4. Documentation and Reporting:

Maintain daily delivery logs, including delivery time, route taken, and recipient details.

Collect payments from customers when required (cash on delivery or digital).

Report any delivery delays, traffic incidents, or vehicle issues to the supervisor promptly.
5. Vehicle Maintenance:

Keep delivery vehicle or bike clean, fueled, and in good working condition.

Conduct routine checks such as tire pressure, oil levels, and brakes.

Inform management of any mechanical problems or needed repairs.
