Job Description
Key Responsibilities
1. Patient Consultation & Diagnosis

Conduct comprehensive dental examinations, including oral inspections, X-rays, and dental history reviews.

Diagnose dental issues such as cavities, gum diseases, oral infections, and structural abnormalities.

Recommend appropriate treatment plans based on diagnosis and patient needs.

Explain dental conditions and procedures to patients clearly and in a friendly manner.
2. Dental Treatments & Procedures

Perform a wide range of dental treatments, including:
-
Tooth extractions
-
Root canal treatments (RCT)

Dental fillings and restorations
-
Scaling and polishing
-
Crowns, bridges, and dentures
-

Administer local anesthesia where required and ensure patient comfort.

Use modern dental techniques and equipment for efficient and painless treatments.
3. Preventive Dental Care
-
Educate patients about oral hygiene practices, brushing techniques, and dietary habits.

Provide counseling on preventive care and early detection of dental issues.
-
Recommend fluoride treatments, dental sealants, and regular check-ups to maintain oral health.
4. Patient Care & Relationship Management
-
Build strong rapport and trust with patients through empathetic communication.

Handle patient anxieties and dental fears with a calm and reassuring approach.

Follow up with patients after treatments to monitor recovery and satisfaction.

Ensure the highest level of patient confidentiality and ethical care.
5. Equipment & Hygiene Management
-
Maintain a clean and sterile dental environment in compliance with healthcare standards.

Ensure proper sterilization of dental tools and instruments before every procedure.

Operate dental equipment such as X-ray machines, ultrasonic scalers, dental drills, and imaging systems.

Report equipment malfunctions and ensure timely maintenance.
6. Collaboration & Teamwork

Work closely with dental assistants, hygienists, and other team members for smooth patient care.

Coordinate with laboratory technicians for dental impressions, crowns, bridges, and prosthetics.

Participate in clinical meetings, case discussions, and training sessions.

Assist junior dentists and interns in learning procedures and patient management.
7. Record Keeping & Reporting
-
Maintain accurate patient records, including treatment history, X-ray reports, and follow-up notes.

Document procedures and update case files regularly in the clinic’s management software.

Generate daily and monthly reports on patient inflow, treatments performed, and follow-up status.
8. Continuous Learning & Development

Stay updated on the latest advancements in dental techniques, treatments, and technologies.

Attend dental workshops, conferences, and seminars to enhance professional skills.

Implement innovative dental care practices to improve patient outcomes.
Required Skills & Competencies
1. Technical Skills

In-depth knowledge of dental anatomy, oral diseases, and treatment techniques.

Expertise in using dental instruments, diagnostic tools, and advanced dental equipment.

Familiarity with digital dental systems, X-ray imaging, and dental software.
