Deputy Manager / Manager - Plant Projects (Instrumentation)

Major Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Responsible for Detailed engineering, planning and executing the work and Commissioning related to an assigned Greenfield and/or Brownfield or Value added Projects, Improvement projects.
- Serving as a resource to other disciplines in all phases of the project effort e.g., provide consulting, safety system reviews, Project reviews Contribute to the development of sectional strategy.
- Implement various projects inside Plant from conceptualization to final implementation.
- Support projects (Brownfield & Greenfield) in Feasibility Study, Cost Estimation, material specification and procurement, selection, and evaluation of Instrument and Controls (I&C) systems and ensure cost effective solutions.
- Contribute to the identification of opportunities and improvement of business processes, cost reduction and productivity improvement to implement various projects within the Project cost.
- Interface with other departments specifically for Maintenance team for understand the existing System, Philosophy & understand internal customer’s requirement.
- During conceptualize stage of the project or any new system properly under stand of the requirement from internal customer for easy execution and ease operation.
- Providing discipline leadership, coordination, guidance, and supervision for all phases of project work (planning, design, execution, and start-up).
- Knowledge of complex instrument systems, machinery control systems & Emergency Shutdown System, vibration monitoring systems, custody transfer metering, Burner management, etc.
- Able to review, evaluate, and update cause and effect, Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), logic and architecture diagrams and control narratives.
- Monitors contractor work progress to ensure safe project execution within cost and schedule.
- Proficient in SAP (MM Module) and MS Office (Power Point, Word & Excel).
Knowledge:
- Selection of Field Instruments, Control Valves, On-off Valves, Control System(DCS/ESD/PLC/SCADA), Honeywell, Schneider system experience is preferred.
- Material & Service requisition, Material code creation, Issue voucher in SAP.
- Review of Specification, Technical Bid, Engineering documents.
