Design Engineer Jobs in Navi Mumbai - Expandi Systems Asia LLP

Responsibilities:

•  Adaption of make in India of already developed equipment.       
  
• Monitoring the cooperation between the company´s R&D department in Spain and the     technical departments of its key customers.
• Collaborate with the customer and other design team functions to ensure designs are integrated, efficient, and effective.
• Follow up existing and new customers.
  
• Some travel may be required.
  
• Other duties as assigned.

• Educational Qualification: Bachelor’/master’s in engineering or Diploma in Engineering with Mechanical or Marine field.
• Sound knowledge of Solidworks, AutoCAD
  
• Solid experience in mechanical design
  
• Solid experience in diesel/petrol engines, oil hydraulics and pumps
  
• 8 – 10 plus years’ experience in the design of mechanical mechanisms, electro-mechanical assemblies, structures, hydraulics and pneumatics. Must have experience developing complex systems and assemblies.
  
• You must be able to perform reverse engineering from actual functional hardware and designs.
• Knowledge of typical machine shop operations, profile/sheet metal manufacturing process, practical knowledge of MIG and TIG welding (not as a welder), and the proper use of situation specific weld callouts.
• Strong and effective presentation skills- must be able to create and deliver effective        presentations.
• A proven track record of advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to quickly draw conclusions and make recommendations.
• Must be proficient in computer software usage such as Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and  SharePoint.
• Strong interpersonal communications (verbal and writing) required, along with highly effective organization skills.  
• Will interact and build strong working relationships with teammates at all levels; this is a high profile and fast paced position.
  
• Demonstrated ability to develop and foster strong positive relationships and effective diplomacy skill with leadership, business partners, and stakeholders.
• A comfort for an environment of discovery and uncertainty. This position is highly dependent upon regulations and changes issued by government or the corporate offices and these can be unpredictable. 
• Capability to manage multiple on‐going projects and spontaneous preparation of presentations of findings and recommendations is necessary.
• Ability to perform work, special assignments, and tasks under only very general supervision.
  
• Ability to work under pressure and may need to work outside of normal business hours 
  
• Ability to drive projects and decisions to conclusion. Skill in exercising initiative, judgment, problem solving, and decision-making.
• Ability to research and prepare comprehensive reports.
  
• Manufacturing environment experience preferred.
  
• Experience in using SAP Business One is a benefit
  
• Ability to demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills in the English language.
