Job Description
Job Summary:
The Desktop Support Engineer is responsible for providing technical support to end-users, ensuring smooth operation of desktop systems, hardware, software, and network connectivity. The role involves troubleshooting, installation, configuration, and maintenance of IT infrastructure within the organization.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Install, configure, and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals.
Provide first-level technical support to end-users via phone, email, or in-person.
Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues, including OS and application-related problems.
Manage user accounts, permissions, and profiles in Active Directory (AD).
Support Microsoft 365 / Outlook configuration and troubleshooting.
Perform system updates, patch management, and antivirus deployment.
Ensure proper functioning of LAN, WAN, and Wi-Fi connectivity.
Maintain inventory of IT assets and ensure timely replacement or upgrades.
Coordinate with vendors for warranty and hardware replacements.
Escalate complex issues to Level 2/3 or network/system admins as required.
Document incidents, resolutions, and IT procedures for future reference.
Support conference room equipment, audio-video setups, and remote access tools.
